Falling Into Place

With the first nine weeks behind us, everything seems to be falling into place.
This week at school, students completed their timeline projects.  Students worked to order events of the past, present, and future correctly.

Students were able to share their timelines with friends.

Stop by and see the display when you are visiting our school!
October is principal appreciation month.  Each student thought about words that describe Mrs. Cromer and wrote them on a post-it note.   The finished product will welcome visitors to Check Elementary in the main lobby each day.  Everyone that comes through the doors will know that our school is wonderful and we love our principal!

A few snapshots of our math and literacy blocks...

Mrs. Nolen, our reading specialist, visited Thursday and Friday.  She read the book Owl Babies by Martin Waddell.  Students loved this fictional story and enjoyed the activities Mrs. Nolen planned.
Most of the week was full of sunshine and warm weather.  Students played and skipped and hummed and sang...they had no idea that they are making memories and friends for life.  To them it's just having fun!

It was an amazing week of learning and friendship!

Don't forget next week Red Ribbon Week starts with "waking up bully free" on Monday- Pajama Day!
